Gguge aims for classes where small groups of students actively communicate with their teacher.
Please be sure to follow the basic etiquette below for the sake of other students and the teacher!
1. Before class, what matters most?
1-1. Please check your camera and microphone.
Before class, please make sure your camera and microphone are working properly before entering!
If your camera and microphone aren't working, the class may not run smoothly.
Checking in advance before joining will make for an even more enjoyable and rewarding class!
1-2. Please charge your device.
The laptop or tablet used for class often runs out of battery and shuts down in the middle of class.
Charging in advance or joining with the charger plugged in will help prevent your device from suddenly shutting down!
1-3. Please check the class detail page before joining.
On the class detail page, you can find the materials you need, things to note, and essential items to check.
Some classes require materials, some require installing a program in advance, some require preparation, and there are various other things to check before class!
Preparing in advance lets you join the class enjoyably without any confusion during class time!
1-4. Please be on time for the class start.
Please be punctual for the class start time!
Entering in the middle of class can make it hard to keep up with the lesson and may also disturb the other friends in the class. Entering 5 minutes before the class start time helps everyone enjoy the class!
1-5. Only students who have paid and enrolled may attend the class.
Only the enrolled student themselves may participate; friends or siblings who have not enrolled may not join at the same time.
To maintain the high level of focus in small-group classes, please make sure only the enrolled student attends, with one device per person.
※ If the class environment continues without improvement, the student may be removed, and an additional payment may be requested for students who have not paid.
2. During class, what etiquette is needed?
2-1. Respond cheerfully to the teacher's attendance check.
All teachers check attendance before class begins to confirm who is participating.
Please respond cheerfully during the attendance check so the teacher can identify you.
Setting your name in the Zoom meeting room to the student's name makes it easier to call on you!
2-2. Respect and be considerate of the teacher and friends.
Drawing on the screen or playing around in the chat during class can disturb the class.
Also, cutting in while the teacher or another student is speaking can cause discomfort.
Let's all work together to make Gguge classes respectful in language and considerate of one another.
2-3. Please join from a tidy place where you can focus on class.
A moving car, a crowded outdoor space, or a place with other family members and pets can produce loud noise that makes it hard to run the class.
In those cases, the teacher has no choice but to mute the student's microphone to keep the class environment orderly.
For students to participate actively, please join the class from a tidy place.
2-4. Don't eat meals during class.
If you eat food during class, the other students in the class will get hungry too.
Please refrain from eating food during class. Water or drinks are fine!
2-5. Please follow the teacher's class rules.
Depending on the class you join and the teacher, there are rules and methods suited to how the class is run.
Please follow the rules specific to your class as the teacher guides you!
2-6. Please respect class copyright.
Every Gguge class contains the teacher's ideas and effort. So if you record or capture part of a class and distribute it, the teacher will be very upset.
Please be sure to respect the teacher's class copyright, which could also lead to legal issues!
If you have any further questions, please contact the Gguge Customer Center.
